CHAMBER CELEBRATES SMALL BUSINESSES, CHARITIES AND HOSPITIALTY

Twenty-one area businesses and charitable organizations were honored Thursday evening at the Small Business, Charity of the Year and Ozark Mountain Hospitality dinner, hosted by the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & the Small Business Development Advisory Council.  The dinner, held at Chateau on the Lake was sponsored by Branson’s Imax Entertainment Complex, recipients of the 2013 Small Business of the Year and Cox Medical Center Branson.

All nominees were showcased in a video produced by Digital Lunchbox.  A committee of volunteer Chamber leadership had the difficult task of scoring nominations for the Small Business of the Year, Charity of the Year and the Ozark Mountain Hospitality award; only one is named for each award.

The 2014 Small Business of the Year nominees were Abacus CPA’s, Arrowhead Building Supply, Inc., Branson Limousine & Executive Charter, Copper Run Distillery, Crossfit Branson, KOLR 10, Mitsu Neko Restaurant, PerfectSigns.com, and Starlite Theatre.

The 2014 Charity of the Year nominees were Branson Veterans Events & Reunions, Inc., Disabled American Veterans Chapter 68, Faith Community Health, Generation Rescue, Jesus Was Homeless, My Sister’s Keeper, Skaggs Foundation, The Caring People, and The Crisis Center.

The newest category is the Ozark Mountain Hospitality Award. The nominees for this award were: Chateau on the Lake, Mitsu Neko Restaurant and Taney County Tire and Towing.

Arrowhead Building Supply was named 2014 Small Business of the Year.  They arrived in the Branson area four years ago and have made it their mission to develop relationships and trust in the community.

The Crisis Center was named 2014 Charity of the Year. It is the mission of the Crisis Center to provide quality residential and non-residential services to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. They have been providing services in Taney County for 24 years.

Chateau on the Lake was the recipient of the Ozark Mountain Hospitality award. They have shown the community what true customer service means. Their employees are trained to meet the expectations of those they serve. They strive to ensure every customers experience is the best it can be.

Congratulations to all our nominees and award recipients.
