Adoration Parade Committee
The Adoration Parade Committee creates an annual parade commemorating the annual lighting of the Adoration Scene atop Mount Branson. The committee supports the parade’s theme of “Keeping Christ In Christmas” and supports community efforts in designed floats and entries keeping with the theme.
Ambassadors assist with organizing member events, including Business After Hours, Branson Business Connection, Lunch and Learn and the annual meeting. They welcome new members, participate in ribbon cuttings and ground breakings, and help organize and participate in other special events/campaigns. There is an application process for becoming an Ambassador. This committee serves under Membership & Funding Advisory Council and meets monthly.
Community & Economic Development Advisory Council
The Community & Economic Development Advisory Council discusses important issues and hears updates from these areas: Local Government, Taney County Partnership, Education, Environmental, Legislative and Transportation, among others. The Council takes issues directly to the Board of Directors should the issue require Board action. This council meets the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m.
Finance Oversight Committee
The Finance Oversight Committee meets monthly and reports directly to the Board of Directors. The responsibilities of the Finance Oversight Committee are to review all financial activities. The Board Treasurer chairs this committee.
The Legislative Affairs Committee reviews all state, local and federal legislation as it pertains to Chamber members; as well as supporting legislation beneficial to tourism and economic growth. This committee meets the third Friday of each month at 8:30 a.m. and serves under the Community & Economic Development Advisory Council.
Membership & Funding Advisory Council
The Membership & Funding Advisory Council develops and monitors policies governing membership and membership services including but not limited to: complaint policy, ethics statement, dues structure, welcome center exposure for members and other new and ongoing benefits. This council meets on an as needed basis.
Lakes Area Leadership Committee
The Lakes Area Leadership Academy is a one year program designed to groom professionals for greater leadership roles in organizations across the community and beyond. This committee will guide the decisions on the academic education of each sessions as well as advise alumni and mentors of their responsibilities to the program. This committee meets 2 to 3 times per year or on an as needed basis.
Small Business Development Advisory Council
The Small Business Development Advisory Council organizes the Small Business of the Year and Charity of the Year award dinner and the Branson Area Business Expo. Branson Business Connection and First Friday Coffee are held monthly to provide networking opportunities for area small businesses. This council develops programs as benefits of Chamber membership for small business and takes issues directly to the Board of Directors should the issue require Board action. This council meets quarterly on the 3rd Thursday at 7:30 a.m.
