Thanks for participating in this year’s Expo! I hope you are as excited about this event as I am. You will be among over fifty vendors presenting the area’s best services to our local business community. The Branson / Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce hopes to make this a beneficial and successful day for you and your business. Below are some tips and reminders for the Expo.
- The date of the Expo is Thursday, August 20th. Doors will be open to the public from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm.
- The Expo will reopen from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm for a Business After Hours in the Expo area. This will be free for vendor business employees. You must have a representative in your booth until 7pm.
- Booth Set-up will take place on August 20th from 8 am to 10:45 am. The doors will open to the public at 11:30 am.
- Please plan to attend a vendor meeting at 10:45 am on Thursday, August 20th for any last minute instructions and questions. This will take place in the same space as the expo.
- A vendor work-room will be provided with computers and internet for e-mail checking. This area will also have assorted refreshments. Vendors only are to be in this room.
- A box lunch will be available from Chateau on the Lake for you to purchase if you choose. More details will follow on this.
- It is highly suggested that you offer a door prize at your booth. You may handle collecting the entries at your booth or we can pull from the overall pool collected at the registration table. A P.A. system will be available for prize announcements. If you plan to give a prize valued at over $200 I would be happy to include that in upcoming advertisements, just let me know.
- Booth tear-down will take place Thursday, August 20th at 7:00 pm or Friday, August 21st from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
- You may not hand out information at your booth for another business if not pre-approved by Branson / Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce staff. No non-member business information will be distributed…period.
- I hope to have a HUGE turnout this year. Several partnerships have been arranged with media outlets to help get the word out, but you are very important in this process too. A flyer is available to you to forward to all your contacts and display in your business. If you have not received this flyer please contact Ladona Johnson at 417-334-4084, ext. 314. Remember the more people walking by your booth…the more beneficial this event will be for you!
- The floor layout is coming soon, for you to preview where your booth location will be. If your booth is highlighted, you will also have electricity. Please not booth assignments are subject to change.

Tips to help you have a successful Expo…Its as easy as 1 – 2- 3!
# 1 – Be engaged at your booth!
Just sitting in a chair behind your table won’t get business contacts.
#2 – Tell everyone you come in contact with to check out the Expo!
If you invite people and all the other booths invite people…there will be a lot of people for everyone.
#3 – The more interesting and informative your display is the better!
Make your booth eye-catching and somewhere that visitors just have to stop…you might even win a prize for it.
