CHAMBER HONORS OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY LEADERS
BRANSON, MO — The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce recognized three outstanding contributors to the community at its Good Morning, Branson event this week, presenting the 2025 Small Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, and Local Hero of the Year awards. The honors celebrated both individuals and organizations making a lasting impact in the Branson/Lakes Area through service, leadership, and commitment to others.
This year’s honorees included Hayden Williams, named Local Hero of the Year; Skaggs Foundation, awarded Non-Profit of the Year; and Currier & Company, recognized as Small Business of the Year.
“It’s a humbling experience to have that connection with a complete stranger,” said Hayden Williams, volunteer firefighter for the Western Taney County Fire Protection District. “To show up on their worst day, to help them, and to know they’re in good hands – no matter who shows up, because of our training - that’s what this is all about.”
“People see [Hayden], how fired up he is about training and getting better – it spreads to others, and they want to do the same,” said WTCFPD Chief, Chris Berndt.
Pam Yancey, Chamber President and CEO, added, “It’s a privilege to celebrate the people and organizations who are truly moving Branson forward. Whether they are responding to emergencies, improving public health, or building thriving local businesses, these honorees embody the best of our community.”
The awards were presented at Good Morning, Branson at the Branson Convention Center, with more than 150 people in attendance.
