Governor Kehoe Appoints Catherine Hanaway as Missouri’s Next Attorney General
Governor Mike Kehoe made the announcement at a press conference Tuesday following Andrew Bailey’s appointment as Co-Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Catherine Hanaway previously served as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri. Hanaway is the first female Attorney General of Missouri and is the only female to serve as Missouri’s Speaker of the House. She will assume the role of Attorney General on September 8, 2025 when Andrew Bailey is sworn in as Co-Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
