The Board of Directors of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & CVB met Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Chairman Mike Patrick called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Steve Critchfield provided the opening prayer.
Review of Minutes – Cynthia Carson made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 23, 2025 as presented. Mike Combs seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried.
Financial Report – Aaron McCullough provided a review of the financial report in Treasurer Cox’s absence. Joe Loth moved to approve the financial report as presented. Cassie Cunningham seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried. Joe Loth complimented Aaron on his work with the financials.
Ex-Officio Reports

City of Branson – Alderman LeBlanc provided a brief update on the downtown construction.

Tourism Community Enhancement District (TCED) – Chair Chris Myer reported tax collections were up 30.3% for March, and up 12.3% year-to-date. Brief discussion of possible future district expansion.

City of Hollister – Hollister is accepting bids for the annual paving program. Administrator Denise Olmstead reported on wastewater, Tall Timbers, etc.
Membership Update – Janet Minor reviewed the report included in the meeting packet. We currently have 788 members. Wendy White moved to accept the membership update as presented. Cassie Cunningham seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried.
Legislative Update – Monica Evinger provided a brief update on the end of Missouri General Assembly’s Regular Session. She reported on Governor Kehoe’s call for Special Session to begin June 2, 2025.
Chairperson’s Report – Chair Mike Patrick congratulated Brad Thomas and Silver Dollar City for being named the #1 Theme Park according to USA Today readers, the third year in a row!
President/CEO Report – President/CEO Pam Yancey noted she welcomed the MAKO (MO, AR, KS, OK chambers of commerce) Conference to Branson. She also reported on recent meetings with county commissioners, city aldermen, Indian Point businesses, etc.
The Lakes Area Leadership Academy will attend our June meeting, which will be held on the first floor to accommodate the group.
U.S. Congressman Eric Burlison – Congressman Burlison addressed the board prior to his Tourism Tour of the area. He has lunch with a few constituents once or twice a month, which allows for open discussions. Contact his office if interested in joining one of the lunches. He wants to hear from you.
